Tala Al- Dabbous
Tala Al- Dabbous is a Clinical Dietitian Specialized in Pediatric Palliative Care & Oncology. She graduated with her BSc in Clinical Dietetics and Biochemistry from Pepperdine University in California and completed her training at UCLA hospital in oncology. She has completed her MSc in Clinical Research and is interested in addressing the difficulties and barriers in feeding children with chronic and life threatening illnesses through Enteral Nutrition (EN) and Parenteral Nutrition (PN). After her studies she completed an elective at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital to gain experience in the non-malignant aspects of pediatric palliative care and the nutritional management of this patient population. She is a certified EPEC trainer (Education in Palliative & End of Life care). She currently works at Bayt Abdullah Children’s hospice as well as NBK Children’s Cancer Center. She has been involved in an educational initiative in dietetic service development by training dietitians in hospital as well as developing enteral and parenteral guidelines and systems at Al- Adan ICU.
